What is FACT Biology?
FACT biology is a college preparatory course on the foundations of biology as described in the Science Framework for California Public Schools. The five key components are cell biology, genetics, ecology, evolution, and physiology. The FACT program is an interdisciplinary program for high achieving freshmen in which students learn about their four core subject areas - AP Human Geography, Honors Language Arts, and Biology - in the context of each other. Although the biology standards are the same in FACT as in other biology classrooms, they are learned in the context of other courses with an emphasis on writing. You can learn more about the fact program from this document.
